Cholecystitis we call the inflammation of the gall bladder. The gallbladder is a small body with a pear-shaped shape located in the upper right quadrant of the abdomen under the liver. The gallbladder contains the digestive fluid (bile) that separates into the small intestine. In most cases, the gallbladder stones clog the bladder canal and cause cholecystitis. Other causes of cholecystitis include problems in bile ducts and tumors. The stones can block the bladder duct through which the bile is leaking.Bubble tumor.-Objection of bile ducts from tumors or stones.Cholecystitis can lead to a number of serious complications, including:- Bleeding and perforation of the bladder- excessive swelling and rupture of the bladderHow is a diagnosis made?To diagnose acute cholecystitis:-blood tests- gallbladder echography- a gallbladder scannerWhat is the treatment?Usually, treatment requires hospitalization. Stop eating. Fluids, painkillers and antibiotics are administered. In this treatment, the symptoms may resolve within a few days.When does a gallbladder removal surgery take place?If the symptoms do not go away from conservative treatment, if the inflammation progresses or if it often recurves, it is finally undergoing surgical treatment.In all cases, if you do not have contraindications, bloodless bleeding is performed – laparoscopic surgery. It is a poorly traumatic organism, is well accepted by patients and has short recovery times. After removing the bladder, the bile runs freely in the small intestine and is not stored in the bladder. This in no way affects your normal way of life.How to prevent bladder inflammation?You can reduce the risk of cholecystitis by taking the following steps to prevent the occurrence of gall stones:- Slow down. Rapid weight loss can increase the risk of stones in the bile. If you need to lose weight, do not lose more than 1kg. Per week.- Keep healthy weight. Overweight increases the risk of stones in the bile. To achieve a healthy weight, reduce calorie intake and increase physical activity. High-fat diets and low fiber diets may increase the risk of bile stones. To reduce the risk of bile stones, choose a diet high in fruits, vegetables and whole grains.
