A. DC Electric power ,but the compressor works

A. Aziz, Izzudin and A K Mainil had done the research on performance of HCR134a and R134a by using different capillary tube length of 1.25m and 1.5m.  The evaporator temperature with CT 1.25 m and CT 1.5 m using HCR134a compared to R134a  slightly lower than the evaporator temperature with CT 1.25 m and CT 1.5 m  .It has been found that  the electric current consumption of compressor using HCR134a is less when compared to R134a  for capillary tube of length 1.25m and 1.5m. COP of HCR134a is more than the R134a using capillary tube of length 1.25m and 1.5m. This is because HCR134a has higher refrigeration effect than R134a.Anusha Peyyala had done the research on conventional and nonconventional source of energy . In non-conventional method solar energy is used as electricity for compressor. This type of refrigerators are called solar powered refrigerators. The purpose of using solar refrigerators are to minimize the  fuel cost, climate change.Solar panels are used to collect sunlight and is converted to 12V DC Electric power ,but the compressor works on AC current . So inverter is used to convert DC current to AC current . This energy is stored by battery which supplies electricity to compressor. When the COP values of conventional methods and non conventional methods are compared it is almost same. The refrigerator working with eco-friendly refrigerant  R600a with the help of solar energy will be the best system and  can also be called as green refrigerator. Mani and Selladurai  performed experiment using a vapor-compression refrigeration system with the new R 290/R 600 a refrigerant mixture as a substitute refrigerant for CFC 12 and HCF 134 a. G.D Mathur conducts theoretical investigation to compare the COP of vapor compression refrigeration system using various refrigerants under condition -6 degrees evaporator temperature and 48 degrees condenser temperature.A new dimensionless group has been identified by Klein et al to correlate the performance impacts attributable to liquid-suction heat exchangers. The analysis includes the study of impact of pressure drops through the liquid– suction heat exchanger on the system performance. Refrigerants R600, R134a are the refrigerants investigated. This study specifically considers the effects of pressure drops and it presents general relations for estimating the effect of liquid – suction heat exchangers for any refrigerant. The beneficial effects of aliquid suction heat exchanger are offset by the refrigerant pressure drops thatoccur in the heat exchanger. A potential increase in the capacity is possible bysub cooling the liquid refrigerant before expansion. Neglecting the reductionin refrigerant mass flow rate, liquid suction heat exchangers lead to performance improvement for any refrigerant. They have reported that liquid suction heat exchangers increase the temperature and reduce the pressure of the refrigerant entering the compressor causing a decrease in the refrigerant density and compressor volumetric efficiency.
